Our client is one of the most progressive companies in Ipswich and are looking for a Purchasing Manager to support them in their growth.
Duties of the Purchasing Manager:
Accurate purchasing based on the upcoming menus that change daily
Building ingredients lists for menus
Stock checking and ensuring required ingredients are available
Managing menu costings and minimising waste
Managing supplier relationships to ensure low price, and high quality goods and service
Ensuring compliance of Food Safety Standards
Developing processes to save time and avoid errors
Participating in continuous improvement efforts
Requirements of the Purchasing Manager:
Minimum 2 years related experience in the food industry;
Previous experience in stock management and excellent attention to detail
Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with good knowledge of excel/googlesheets
Ability to solve purchasing related problems
