One of Cambridge’s leading specialist B2B media providers is seeking a Global Advertising Sales Manager to take over the sales on one of its most prestigious global publications and associated media products. Whilst print media is the main element of what they sell, overall, it’s a much more integrated offering with content marketing, digital media and data services also forming a large part of their offering. As such candidates must be forward thinking consultative salespeople, capable of getting the advertisers to broaden their horizons and embrace new forms of promotion.  Applicants do not have to specifically come from publishing but must have a background in selling specialist products B2B to marketing heads.

On a day to day basis the Global Advertising Sales Manager will be selling a wide range of services internationally to both existing and new customers across a variety of specialist industry sectors around the world. Developing and growing a new customer base is very important as they wish to grow the division and publication, however this role does come with a very established and loyal existing customer base which will make up a large majority of the revenue, as such it is equally important to keep the current accounts happy, growing and developing them where possible. It’s important that applicants are experienced and happy working in a small business culture with full accountability, due to this candidates’ that only have experience working at larger organisations will likely not be suitable.

Given the fact the client base for the role is global, you will be required to attend a show once a year in the USA, and travel to Europe once a quarter.
