We are currently working with an industry leader in the construction sector, trying to source for them a dynamic and forward-thinking Business Development Manager to join their successful sales team. You will be based at the Company’s UK Head Office in Cambridgeshire, with a relaxed but professional atmosphere with easy access by car from all main routes. You must be easily accessible to the office on a daily basis although working off-site and travelling may also be required.
The core focus of this role will be to Identify sales opportunities by utilising warm leads and targeting new and existing customers. You will create quotes and update orders to new and existing customers, assisting with queries and negotiation of orders, updating the CRM database as you work including price checking prior to processing of any orders. You will be the point of contact for the customer and escalate queries when necessary.
Building a rapport with customers and offering a high level of customer service always is crucial to this role. Successful candidates will need the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines and targets, working within the office and off-site. Other duties may be assigned by senior management.
They are not looking for an account manager, they want a hungry motivated hunter to win them new clients across the UK, but with an immediate focus on the Eastern Regions and London. Ideally all candidates will have extensive experience selling into the construction sector, and be able to bring contacts with them into the role, however candidates with no construction experience bu the right attitude will also be considered.
