Joby has worked in either sales or recruitment his entire career. He worked his way up from a classified sales executive in media sales to the commercial manager for a leading consumer Hip Hop publication. Following which he switched to recruitment and has worked at every level within Brand Recruitment until launching their new sales & supply chain division Zero Surplus in 2018.
He has 20 years experience both working in the B2B sales sector himself and recruiting buying, sales, marketing & procurement roles throughout his time with Brand Recruitment. After offering most of these as a bolt-on service to his marketing services for 10 years, he is now spearheading Zero Surplus as a standalone sales & supply chain recruitment entity after recognising the opportunity and need within these sectors.
As a recruiter, Joby’s tenacity and dedication made him one of Brand’s best and most consistent performers, his hard work was recognised on a national level when he was a finalist for ‘Recruitment Consultant of the Year 2015‘ at the prestigious Marketing and Digital Recruitment Awards.
It is his experience and passion for the company that made him the right person to found Brand’s expansion into sales & supply chain. When the going gets tough Joby gets going, and he is renowned for his ability to achieve positive results by turning around difficult client requirements – making him the person the rest of the team will often look to for advice.

As a recent film graduate, Tom has an underlying passion for the silver screen, with Sci-Fi, Crime and Fantasy topping his list of preferred genres. He is also an avid sports fan with Boxing and football topping his interest; and if the opportunity arises, he watches Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium whenever possible. During the summer months, He can be found dancing away at music festivals up and down the country.
Tom is the newest member of the Zero Surplus team. He works closely with our founder Joby, assisting him with all aspects of recruitment as the company continues to grow. He possesses years five experience in a sales and customer service environment making him a valuable member of our team. Tom holds himself to his own high expectations in any job he undertakes, working hard to do his best for the company and clients.
