We are hiring for a market leader in specialist business software, seeking a Sales Specialist to grow their team and take the UK function of this global brand to the next level. Candidates can come from a variety of backgrounds, though ideally you will be articulate, educated to degree level and have some exposure to account management, sales or customer success. You must also be client centric, not purely sales focused, and happy working in a role where you are engaging with customers all day by a variety of methods.
Location wise the role would be in Cambridge for an initial training period, but then predominantly homebased, only being required in the office once a fortnight, though contractually could be asked to be in for a maximum of twice per week.
In terms of the role itself it would require minimal cold outbound work, leads and opportunities will be funnelled into the position through a very strong and successful global marketing strategy, these come in a range of formats from confirmed requests for demos, or people already trialling products.
Most of the sales work will be done through an internal CRM system so any experience of salesforce, HubSpot or alike would be an advantage. As this is a SAAS product, candidates must be apt at solution selling methods and value-proposition techniques, helping customers fully understand the product so as to maximise engaged uptake. On a day-to-day basis you will be contacting customers and supporting them with guidance, scoping further market opportunities, giving demos, closing subscriptions, growing accounts, managing your pipeline and adding strategic value into the sales team in terms of opportunities.
Based in Cambridge this software house is growing and they plan to increase the headcount even further over the next few years, so there will be plenty of opportunities to progress for the right individual. Commutable locations for the position are Bedford, Luton, Milton Keynes, Stevenage, Cambridge, St Neots, Huntingdon, Hitchin, Letchworth, Royston, St Ives, Haverhill, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Ipswich and Welwyn Garden City.
